Welcome to the first game of Super Saturday: NZ Warriors v Parramatta Eels.
Both sides look to be 1-17 as named earlier in the week. (Pre-match)
Warriors looking to build on their scrappy win over Canberra, while the Eels with be looking to bounce back after last week’s brave loss to the Bulldogs. (Pre-match)
Late change with John Folau making his debut on the wing for the Eels (Pre-match)
Sides coming out onto the field now. Reports of possible showers but weather conditions look perfect at this stage. (Pre-match)
Eels kick off and the game is underway. (Pre-match)
Johnson looks to run on the last and is caught 40m out from the Eels line. Poor start for the Warriors whose last tackle options have been below par so far this season. (1H 0:30)
Eels complete and Warriors start 10m out from their own line. (1H 0:30)
Penalty Warriors and we have an early all in wrestle. Lussick in the middle of it which is no surprise. Warriors kick takes them close to halfway. (1H 1:10)
Six more for the Warriors 25m out after a Sandow strip on Kata goes wrong. Warriors on the attack early. (1H 2:13)

TRY Warriors. Hoffman goes out of dummy half 5m out after a quick play the ball and scores about 10m inside the left hand sideline. Great start for the Warriors. (1H 3:59)
Johnson kicks the conversion and it is 6-0 Warriors. (1H 3:59)
Peats injured going in for a tackle on Lillyman. He is going off for a concussion test. (1H 5:43)
Good set from the Warriors and they are looking great out of dummy half with some quick play the balls. Eels need to slow down the ruck in defence as they start their set 10m out from their own line. (1H 6:20)
Eels complete and Warriors start their set 35m out from their own line. Penalty Warriors as the Eels try to hold down in the ruck a little too long. On the attack 40m out. (1H 7:14)
Review. Warriors in through Kata as he dives on a Townsend grubber. Sent upstairs by the refs as a try. (1H 9:05)
TRY Warriors. Lovely play from Townsend and it is 10-0 Warriors kick to come. Similar spot to the last kick for Johnson. (1H 9:05)
Johnson misses his first kick of the season and the score remains 10-0. Warriors looking really sharp around the ruck. (1H 9:11)
Warriors complete but Johnson’s huge bomb is too deep and Hopoate defuses it in the in goal. Eels 20m tap to start their set. (1H 11:20)
Watmough drops it and the Warriors start their set 20m out from their own line. (1H 11:20)
Poor kick on the last by Townsend and the Eels start their set about 20m out from their own line. (1H 12:07)
Eels drop it again after a terrible pass from Watmough and the Warriors will have a scrum feed 35m out from the Eels line. Warriors all over the Eels early on. (1H 12:42)
Vatuvei drops a tough pass and the Eels escape with a scrum feed 10m out from their own line. (1H 15:01)
Penalty Eels after some high contact and the touch finder takes them 40m out from their own line. (1H 15:01)
Eels complete and the Warriors through Tompkins start about 7m out from their own line. (1H 16:05)
TRY Warriors. Leuluai splits them straight out of the middle from dummy half and finds Lolohea who scores under the posts. 14-0 kick to come. (1H 17:11)
Johnson makes no mistake and it is 16-0. Warriors completely dominating the play the ball / ruck area and the Eels have no answer early. (1H 17:46)
TRY Warriors. Townsend splits them on the left side edge and hits Vatuvei who scores in the left hand corner. 20-0 kick to come. Wow! (1H 20:18)
Great kick from Johnson and the score is 22-0. Eels just haven’t turned up and the Warriors left side look like they are going to have a field day. (1H 20:54)
Warriors complete and the Eels start 15m out from their own line. (1H 23:20)
Eels complete but a nothing kick on the last and Warriors start 30m out from their own line. (1H 24:05)
De Gois now looking a bit dusty and will go off for a concussion test. No recognised hooker now for the Eels. (1H 25:12)
Folau drops the bomb on the last, Hoffman toes ahead but it just beats him into touch. Close thing as the Eels feed the scrum 10m out. (1H 25:29)
Wicks onto the field and straight away makes a difference with two strong charges within just three tackles. (1H 25:40)
Eels complete but scrappy last option on the last and the Warriors start their set 20m out from their line. Sandow is missing on the last, all options so far have been through Norman. (1H 25:40)
Warriors complete another good set and find touch on the last. Eels scrum feed 10m out from their own line. (1H 27:37)
Eels make a mistake and the Warriors scrum feed 20m out from the Eels line. More pressure on the Eels. (1H 28:11)
Penalty Warriors. Eels trying to slow down the ball the ball. 10m out from the Eels line. (1H 29:00)
Corey Norman saves the day with a great slips catch from a Johnson grubber. Eels start 5m out from their own line. (1H 30:10)
Horrible last tackle kick on the last by Sandow and the Warriors start 5m short of half way. Great field position for the Warriors again here. (1H 31:09)
Johnson’s bomb is just a little to big and is defused by Reece Robinson in the in goal. 20m tap for the Eels. (1H 32:10)
Peats has somehow been allowed back onto the field and there is some controversy as the Warriors doctor has blown up on the sideline. We will hear more about this during the week. (1H 32:49)

Great passage of play by the Warriors with a string of lovely offloads in the middle of the ruck. Townsend chip and chases into the in goal and is taken out by Hopoate. Penalty Warriors. (1H 35:38)

Kick again too big for the Warriors on the last and the Eels have a 20m tap. (1H 38:12)
Penalty Eels as the Warriors ruled to have held the man down in the play the ball. Eels on the attack 15m out. (1H 38:12)

Strange kick from Norman on the 4th tackle and Tompkins easy picks it up. Warriors start about 5m out from their own line. (1H 38:39)
And that is Half Time. Warriors all over the Eels as they go to the break 22-0. Townsend and Hoffman have been the standout for the Warriors, with Leuluai dangerous out of dummy half. (1H 39:27)
Not much doing for the Eels with Ma’u probably the pick of a bad bunch. (Half Time)
Sides out on the field for the 2nd half. Warriors kick off and we are underway. (Half Time)
Paulo is injured in the first tackle of the 2nd half. he is in a lot of pain with what looks to be a lower leg injury. (Half Time)
He is ok to continue and stays on the field to play the ball. (2H 40:12)
Penalty Eels and Ma’u is held down too long in the tackle by Johnson. (2H 40:12)

Eels complete and the Warriors start their set about 15m out from their own line. (2H 40:38)
Warriors complete and Eels start about 30m out from their own line. (2H 40:40)
De Gois is back on the field after passing a concussion test. Penalty Eels and they are now 20m out from the Warriors line and right on the attack. (2H 41:47)
De Gois knocks on and Mannah picks it up in an offside position. Penalty Warriors. Sloppy stuff from the Eels. (2H 42:29)
Penalty Warriors after Ma’u and De Gois hold Tompkins down in the play the ball. Warrior’s touch finder takes them over half way. (2H 43:28)
TRY Warriors. Kata brilliantly out leaps the Eels defenders and scores his second try off a lovely little Townsend chip. 26-0 kick to come from about 10m in from the left hand touch line. (2H 45:15)
Townsend nails it and the Warriors move to 28-0. Great kicking from Johnson. Townsend is having a blinder. (2H 46:25)

Dangerous Johnson kick almost results in a Warriors try but the ball takes a funny bounce and just goes in the way of Hopoate. Eels start about 25m out from their own line. (2H 48:05)
Eels complete and Warriors start their set 25m out from their line. Tompkins injured and goes straight off the field. (2H 49:14)
Warriors knock the bomb on and Eels start 10m out from their own line. (2H 50:28)
TRY Eels. Takairangi scores on the left hand side after some lovely lead up play by Ma’u and Norman puts Robinson into space. He finds Takairangi back on the inside. 28-4 kick to come. (2H 50:59)
Good kick from Robinson just in from the left hand touch line and it is 28-6 Warriors. (2H 51:51)
Strong set from the Eels who look like they have finally clicked into gear, and the Norman grubber is defused by Lolohea. Warriors start 2m out from their line. (2H 54:27)
REVIEW. Eels cross through Gower after Wright is stripped by Watmough. Sent upstairs as a try. (2H 55:17)
TRY Eels. Poor carry from Wright and Gower scores his first try in the NRL. 28-10 kick to come right in front. (2H 55:18)
No mistake from Robinson and the score moves to 28-12. Still 24 minutes to go and it is game on. Tompkins has knee bruising and may be ok to come back on. (2H 55:19)
Another good set from the Eels and the dangerous cross kick is defused by Hoffman who got back there. Warriors start about 5m out from their line. (2H 56:38)
Manu Vatuvei splits them up the middle and makes about 50m much to the delight of the crowd. Warriors on the attack. (2H 56:38)
Warriors complete and Hopoate is injured as he bravely puts his body on the line fielding a grubber. He stays on the field and plays the ball. (2H 58:19)
Watmough missed the tackle that allowed Manu to burst up field. He has been very poor today. (2H 58:42)
Eels complete and Lolohea almost mucks it up at the back as he spills a bomb under pressure, but manages to clean up. Warriors start 2m out from their own line. (2H 59:26)
Kata knocks on 20m from his own line and Eels back on the attack with a scrum feed. They are coming home strongly here the Eels. (2H 60:04)
Eels knock on through Moeroa and the Warriors escape. Warriors scrum feed about 10m out from their own line. (2H 60:04)
Townsend gives the Warriors a breather as he finds touch on the last. Eels scrum feed 10m out from their own line. Clever play from Townsend there as he slows the game down. (2H 62:15)
REVIEW. Robinson goes over after a brilliant offload from Ma’u finds Takairangi who puts Robinson away. He is super quick as it is sent upstairs as a try. (2H 63:32)
TRY Eels. Lolohea did everything he could in cover defence but Robinson does very well to stay infield and scores right in the left hand corner. 28-16 kick to come. (2H 63:36)
Robinson just misses to the left and it remains 28-16 Warriors. (2H 63:45)
Danny Wicks coughs it up and Warriors right on the attack with a scrum feed about 20m out from the Eels line. (2H 65:10)
Penalty Warriors. They will go for the two to make it 14pts and more than two converted tries the difference. (2H 66:00)
Johnson hits the upright and it goes dead. No goal. Eels drop kick 20m out from their own line. (2H 67:04)
Huge bomb from Johnson well taken by Sandow under pressure and Eels start 10m out from their own line. (2H 69:20)
Eels complete and Warriors start 30m out from their own line. (2H 69:20)

Sandow chips and Vatuvei easily defends. Warriors start about 15m out from their own line. (2H 71:20)
Johnson chips and chases, regathers but then bombs a certain try but grubbering to the outside, when he had three players unmarked on the inside. They were queuing up. (2H 71:34)
Warriors get the scrum feed and they are 10m out… and get a penalty from the scrum. Have to tap and they get a fresh set. (2H 72:41)
FIELD GOAL. Johnson pilots the ball over from right in front and it takes the Warriors to a 13pt lead with 5 minutes left. (2H 73:04)
Penalty Warriors as the Eels go for a strip. Touch finder takes them 5m inside halfway (2H 74:12)
Hoffman knocks on after he tries to reel in a Friend pass in a half gap and Eels will have a scrum feed about 30m out from their own line. (2H 75:05)
Penalty Eels and the touch finder takes them on the attack 30m out from the Warriors line. (2H 75:05)
Wicks taken high and another Eels penalty 10m out from the Warriors line. (2H 76:13)
Takairangi forces a pass which goes astray, and Warriors pick it up about 15m out from their own line. (2H 77:41)

Teams don’t bother to pack a scrum and it’s fulltime. Warriors win 29-16. Good fight back from the Eels led by Ma’u but it was all over at halftime after a dominating Warriors 1st half performance. (2H 79:21)
Townsend was outstanding today for the Warriors, supported by Hoffman and Mannering. Ma’u was easily the Eels best in a pack that was otherwise dominated in the middle. (2H 79:43)
